RG39 Fixer Setzstock The fixed steady has a machined tenon that locates in the lathe bed central tee slot and is then secured via its tee nut and bolt. The three adjustable arms are of brass. A fixed steady ensures the rigidity and concentricity of a long workpiece whilst machining.
£92.00

RG40 Beweglicher Setzstock The travelling steady affixes to the lathe's saddle and has two adjustable brass arms. The travelling steady is used when turning long thin bars. The steady's brass arms resist the deflecting thrust of the lathe tool thus ensuring a parallel finish.
£64.40

RG41 Rückwärtiger Werkzeugsäule The rear toolpost is of steel and affixes to the lathe's crosslide. Heavy machining operations, particularly 'parting-off', are performed with the lathe tool upside down in the rear toolpost. Thrust is then transmitted into the base of the headstock considerably reducing vibration
£44.00

RG42 Vierwig-Werkzeugsäule May be set up with four primary tools saving subsequent time spent mounting tools individually
£48.00

RG43 Schnellwechselwerkzeugsäule (inkl. zwei Haltern) The quick change toolpost is of steel and is supplied with two toolholders, one plain for square shanked tools and one vee grooved for round section tools (e.g. a boring bar). The toolpost body is sprung, into which the dovetailed toolholders clamp via the cap head locking screw. This accessory saves inordinate time and effort in shimming and reshimming tools for centre height. Toolholders will accommodate 7mm maximum tooling (fitted as standard with one plain toolholder to (G200) 90 C.W. Lathe).

£220.00

RG46 13/16" Dieholder Two steel dieholders are available featuring a heavy knurl and tommy bar holes to facilitate threading. The dieholders are bored to fit over the tailstock barrel without sideplay. The advantage of cutting threads on the lathe is that the die is always applied concentrically and on the true axis of the work to be threaded. thus preventing a 'drunken' thread. Inserts can be supplied, for other sizes please contact Cowells.

RG51 Spaltsägenzubehör The attachment has a ground steel table providing a flat smooth surface for the movement of the work piece. The table is height adjustable so that the depth of cut may be varied. The H.S.S. saw blade is driven via a mandrel screwed to the lathe's nose spindle. A G13 adaptor is required when used on the 90CW lathe. The attachment is supplied with a blade of the customers choice, either.:-
63mm diameter x 0,40mm, 63mm diameter x 0,50mm
63mm diameter x 0,60mm, 63mm diameter x 0,80mm
The slitting saw will cut metals, plastic and woods and ensure a straight square cut.

RG53 Rollen-Feilauflage This Filing Rest, used in conjunction with headstock spindle indexing, provides a means of generating accurate parallel flats, squares, hexagons etc. One example of its application is the ability to produce a square drive on a clock winding spindle.
Principles of operation:-
The two flanged rollers of hardened steel are used to guide a hand file across the work piece to produce a flat. The depth of this flat is determined by the vertical position of the rollers, and this, on the Cowells lathe, is geared to the cross slide feedscrew. A drive block which has a groove milled at an angle in one face, drives the roller bracket up or down a pillar which is fixed by a screw to the tapped hole in the saddle. The ratio provides a change in the height of the rollers of 0.125mm for a one division 0.025mm movement of the cross slide handwheel. The roller flanges assist in controlling the length of the flat. Mounted on the lathe's carriage the length of the flat can be measured via the leadscrew handwheel.
£195.75

R54 Hauptspindel-Schalteinheit Headstock spindle indexing unit
£98.75

RG55 Vertikal-Frässchlitten The Vertical Milling Slide facilitates a wide range of milling operations on the lathe. Of sturdy construction the slide features a cast iron body with a ground steel Tee slotted table. A full length adjustable gib strip is fitted. Fine feed is provided through the calibrated knurled knob graduated in 0.025mm increments.
The slide adds a vertical dimension to milling operations on the lathe. The slide is secured to the lathe's crosslide via its tee-bolts.
£280.50

RGB56 Winkelplatte Made of cast iron, slotted and machined perfectly square on all faces
£40.45

RGB57 Maschinenschraubstock The vice body is of cast iron, machined to close tolerances and has four fixing holes. The screw has a hexagonal head to aid clamping. The steel jaw may be locked into position via a cap head screw and square nut running in its own channel in the vice body. Tee-nut fixings are supplied.
£92.40
RG58 Kippbare Werkzeugauflage Of traditional design, the steel base clamps to the lathe bed via a tee nut and locking lever. The hardened steel toolrest may be turned through 360° adjusted for height and locked into position. The toolrest sub-assembly is hinged in order that it may be 'tipped over' to allow closer inspection and further operations to the workpiece.
£222.00
RGB61 Teilkopf
(inkl. einem Platte RGB62)
The solid steel body of the dividing head is ground on all faces and is drilled to accept studs up to 6mm diameter. It is capable of being mounted on two of its faces. The spindle has the same 14mm x 1mm thread as the lathe chucks and is hollow with a no.0 Morse taper. The spindle is driven by a 40:1 ratio worm and wheel; adjustable to eliminate any backlash. A spindle clamp is also provided. A steel raising block is also supplied should clearance for the mounting of a 3 Jaw Chuck (RG9) on the Vertical Milling Machine (B100) be required, for example. The unit is supplied with fixing studs and the appropriate tee-nuts.
